About Dr. Smiley

Dr. Smiley recently moved to Cincinnati from Chicago, and he is very excited to join Montgomery Pediatrics! Dr. Smiley attended Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia for his undergraduate education. After a brief career in human resources consulting, he left the business world to attend medical school at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois, where he met his wife. His passion for working with children led him to pursue general pediatrics training at Advocate Children’s Hospital in Oak Lawn, Illinois. He spent three years as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University School of Medicine at Nationwide Children’s Hospital while his wife, Dr. Natasha Pillay Smiley, completed her fellowship training in pediatric hematology-oncology. He has spent the past 6 years in Chicago, Illinois working as a general pediatrician at Advocate Children’s Hospital. Dr. Smiley loves to watch his patients grow and develop, and he has a special interest in children who struggle with excess weight gain. In Chicago, he was the Medical Director of a multi-disciplinary pediatric weight management program called the Healthy Active Living Program. Dr. Smiley enjoys sports, the outdoors, and most of all, spending time with his wife and two children.
